Tesla wrap colors

Finish drives cost more than anything except the installer. Gloss is the floor; matte and satin add 10 to 20 percent; chrome can more than triple the bill. The swatches below show the idea of a colour, not the film itself.

Finishes and what they add

Percentages are over the gloss baseline for a full wrap, from an independent 2026 pricing brief. Your installer’s quote will differ — ask which film brand is in it, because cast vinyl from a major brand costs two to three times a budget calendared film and lasts about twice as long. • Glossbaseline

Closest to factory paint. Easiest to clean, shows swirls most.

  • Satin+10–15%

Halfway between gloss and matte. The usual pick for a factory-plus look.

  • Matte+10–20%

No reflections at all. Needs hand washing — a machine brush will polish it glossy.

  • Metallic+15–25%

Fine flake in the film. Reads like a factory metallic in daylight.

  • Carbon fibre+25–40%

Textured weave. Usually accents — roof, mirrors, hood — rather than a whole car.

  • Colour-shift+80–120%

Changes hue with viewing angle. The film itself is the expensive part.

  • Chrome+150–250%

Mirror finish. Hardest to install, shortest life, most expensive by a wide margin.

Colours people ask for

Named shades that come up again and again, not a ranking — there is no public data on what actually sells.

  • Matte black

The most requested wrap colour. Hides body lines.

A screen cannot show a wrap film. These tiles carry no flake, no sheen and no angle dependence, so treat them as labels for a conversation rather than a preview. Ask your installer for a physical sample before committing — most will lend a swatch book.
